All of the i golfini toys are handmade of 100% cotton. They are perfectly safe for children but are whimsical enough to appeal to adults.

Originally a line of handknitted baby clothes, i golfini della nonna has evolved into so much more. i golfini della nonna continues with its tradition of creating unique hand made products with it's stuffed animals, fingerpuppets and toys.
All toys are individually hand made in either 100% cotton or 100% alpaca and are made in Bolivia by indigenous women.
i golfini della nonna has been working with the same women's cooperative in Bolivia for over 12 years and was instrumental in creating a health insurance plan, dental care plan, day care, excercise programs and micro loans in an effort to improve the conditions of its craftswomen. Since each item is knit by hand, the women are able to work at home while tending to their families. Over the years many of the women have been able to change the quality of their life and that of their family. |
