Tamar Mogendorff, stitch extraordinaire! Born and raised in Israel, Tamar's artistic instincts were encouraged by her highly creative family. Tamar's bird cages and bird-houses provide unique wall and room decoration. Her creations are hand-stitched from linens, mohair wool, cotton, vintage fabrics, tweed, antique embroidery, pashmina and other fabrics and incorporate vintage buttons, beads, silver thread and old ribbons. Inspired by the advice of her grandmother Annie to pursue her artistic dreams, she moved to New York City, where she has lived and worked since 2001. |
